A little bit of backstory from the bride:
It began on February 6, 2015 when a mutual friend set us up on a blind date. After that night, sparks were flying! I told my mom, he was the man I was going to marry! Chad proposed on November 7, 2018, a random Wednesday in our kitchen surrounded by our beloved fur babies. Once the engagement took place, I wasted no time planning. A few years back, Chad and I had spent a long weekend at Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Missouri, just outside of Branson. During our stay, we went to Top of the Rock and the charming rock chapel captivated us! We agreed, that would be the place we would marry. The search for the perfect venue was already a wrap!
Q: What was your color palette\style vision?
A: I’ve always been a sucker for classic, styles. So naturally, I wanted a classic, timeless wedding with simple colors white and gold, lots of gold! I wanted a minimalist yet glam look. The planning process wasn’t too difficult for myself. I’m very organized and I’ve known for a while what I wanted in our wedding.
The beautiful flowers described by the bride: I didn’t want decorations or lots going on, but rather florals. Lots and lots of florals! That would be the focal point of the evening. The chapel was too beautiful for words so keeping it minimal was key. The lush aisle of over 1500 white rose pedals was a perfect addition to the two large pedestal arrangements and the cross covered in smilax vine. It was simple but superb!
Q: What was your favorite memory from your big day?
A:I have to admit, the entire day was that of a dream, but my favorite moment was when the Chapel doors opened and I saw Chad for the first time that day! We decided to forgo a “first look” so this was the most anticipated moment! He did not want to know details of the wedding, so the entire day was a complete surprise to him. The look on his face, I will never forget! His favorite moment was the firework show! 🙂
The outfits from the big day descirbed by the bride:
The men wore black Calvin Klein Shawl Jacket Tuxedos with satin lapel. The bridesmaids in matching black, A-Line, tea length dresses paired with a jeweled kitten heel. All ladies wore matching Kate Spade pearl earrings, and Tiffany & Co. freshwater pearl bracelets. I chose two dresses for this occasion. The first dress for the ceremony was by Casablanca Bridal paired with Christian Louboutin Degrastrass heels. This dress was perfect for my minimalist yet glamorous style. I loved that it had pockets! Advice for future brides: If I could give one piece of advice to any bride it would be the same advice that was given to me, slow down and enjoy the moment! Drink it in! The day goes by extremely fast, you will blink and it’s time to walk down the aisle. Take a few extra seconds to really absorb the occasion. I’m so thankful I did, because it was the happiest day of my life and I will never forget it!
