A little bit of backstory from the bride: Taz and I met at OSU (Go Pokes!!) through a bunch of mutual friends. We really hit it off on our first date which was at a coffee shop called Aspen. Our conversation was easy and we talked about everything under the sun. As we dated we learned we had so much in common, like our families, upbringing, personality even. We also both get frequent nose bleeds which is random and funny.  We dated for about two years before getting engaged in February. We both knew we wanted a short engagement so I just started booking everything as soon as we were engaged and the whole wedding fell into place! We LOVE being married and feel so blessed that we were given an opportunity to experience the gift that is marriage.

Q: What was your color palette and style vision?

A: I picked the color palette because I love soft colors. My style vision was simple and timeless. I don’t like things overdone so by keeping things simple, I feel like I was able to stick to who Taz and I are while keeping it beautiful!

The flowers and wedding cake described by the bride: My flowers were probably my favorite part of my day (decor wise). Christi with Custom Floral Designs is amazing. She captured exactly what I wanted and looking back through the pictures, my favorite thing to look at are my flowers! I loved my cake from Stacie’s Cakes. It was beautiful and she perfectly combined all the pictures I showed her.

Q: What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?

A:My favorite memory from the day was my time taking pictures with Taz after the ceremony. It was just sweet, personal, and quiet time with him that we were able to soak in the fact that we were MARRIED before the party began at the reception.

Advice for future brides:

Short engagements are amazing. I felt like I had more than enough time to get everything planned just how I wanted it without having TOO much time to plan. Also, don’t feel like you HAVE to do something at your wedding. Today, everyone does first looks (which are great if that is what you are after) and I was beginning to feel so much pressure that I needed to do one because everyone talks about how much time it saves, how much it calms your nerves, etc. I knew that I didn’t want to do a first look though and Emily was amazing because she was so willing to work with me and squeeze in plenty of time for pictures before we entered our ceremony.
Q: What was your favorite picture from your wedding day?

A: Truly the hardest question ever because I love them all but if I had to pick just one, I would pick the one of us watching fireworks from behind. We had no clue there were going to be fireworks so it was such a fun surprise to get watch those and soak in the last moments of the celebration with our friends and family.
