1) Addison Circle Park

This park has over 10 acres of land, which is home to many events that happen throughout the year. In this area there is also a pavilion, beautiful public fountains, and several other locations that could serve as a place to take engagement pictures. This location is also easy to navigate and walk around, which makes changing locations fast, giving you more options when it comes to backgrounds.

2) White Rock Lake

White Rock Lake, surrounded by trees, grass, and wildlife is the perfect place to take some rustic, nature pictures. There is also a dock, which provides a beautiful place to take pictures against the water. From open fields, to the water, to trees, taking pictures at the White Rock Lake can look like your engagement pictures were taken in two or three different places!

3) Klyde Warren Park
2012 Woodall Rodgers Fwy, Dallas, TX 75201

If you’re looking for a place that has a balance between nature and manmade structures in Dallas, Klyde Warren Park is the perfect place for your engagement session! Beautiful trees line paths that cut through the park, and the tall buildings of downtown Dallas can be seen from certain angles. The sun cutting through the trees in this park would add an extra touch to pictures taken at this lovely locations!

4) Prather Park
4700 Drexel Ave, Highland Park, TX 75205

This is another park in Dallas that is a wonderful place to have your pictures taken around nature! A stone bridge crosses over an overgrown path, lined with greenery and tall, winding trees. A small river runs under a bridge as well, allowing for some pictures among the water and greenery.

5) Trinity River Audobon Center

Although this center in about 10 miles away from downtown Dallas, it looks and feels like it is a completely different place. As the largest urban hardwood forest in the United States, it is full of places to take some natured-centered engagement pictures that you can cherish forever. The center itself is a well lit, wooden building covered in windows from floor to ceiling.

6) Lakeside Park

This park is complete with tons of trees, greenery, and a river with a bridge overlooking the water. Some other unique and interesting places to take pictures at this location include: grassy parks, Creekside landscape, walking paths, benches, and even some teddy bear statues.

7) Davis Park
4500 Drexel Ave Highland Park, TX 75205

Out of all of the parks in Dallas, this one is on the less manicured side. The overgrown paths and crooked creek add a rustic, adventurous feel to your engagement pictures. An old, stone bridge travels over a small river, and a concrete staircase climbs up a hill around some greenery and tall, winding trees.

This building, located in downtown Dallas, is a 60-story skyscraper. This late-modernist building also comes with a beautiful fountain, some greenery and trees surrounding it, and also many other beautiful buildings that add to the Dallas skyline.

9) Deep Ellum

If you love the adventurous feel in the big city, this place is a GREAT idea to get your pictures taken. From the bright, painted walls to the neon signs and city lights, this area is full of different, exciting backgrounds to make your engagement pictures pop!

10) Bishop Arts District

This arts district in Dallas an entertainment and shopping area right next to downtown Dallas. Some couples really want to encompasses Dallas in their engagement pictures, and this is one of the locations that is PERFECT and gets the job done! So many different buildings have different colors that add to the overall appeal of the neighborhood.

11) Uptown Dallas

12) Winspear Opera House In the Dallas Arts District

On of the most famous spots in this picture destination is the diamond wall. Located on the back of the building, this reflective diamond wall gives off some amazing lighting that adds to pictures. A wading pool is also present, giving you the chance to take off your shoes and splash around in the water with your fiancé.

 

13) The Design District

This area of Dallas is so unique! Home to several buildings that curve in odd ways and have amazing patterns, all of the architecture in this area is So special! If you’re looking for a place that has endless, modern photo opportunities, the Design District is a place that you should definitely consider!

 

14) Trinity Groves

Trinity Groves is another great place to grab some dramatic pics of the Dallas skyline. This is a newer place in the Dallas area, full of brightly colored walls andeven a few murals! A park is located near by, along with many new restaurants and shopping areas. Have a fun night walking among the neon signs, eating some dinner, and loving on your fiancé while taking some sweet engagement pictures.

15) Nasher Sculpture Center
2001 Flora St, Dallas, TX 75201

This unique, cool museum is full of sculptures and other artwork. If you and your partner are the type that love the artsy side of life, Nasher is the perfect place to take some pictures. a beautiful skylight lets natural light in to the museum, and the lawn around the building is just as pretty. The beautiful trees and sculptures outside are other great places to take pictures with the one that you love!

16) SMU Campus
6425 Boaz Ln, Dallas, TX 75205

The campus of this college is breathtaking. The front building is elegant and classic, complete with towering columns by the doors, and many windows on the red brick sides. The beautiful fountain located right in front of the building has a fan of water coming out of the middle, which gives another place for pictures. The rest of the campus is lovely as well, with concrete paths and trees that add so much to the area.

 

17) Arlington Hall at Lee Park
3333 Turtle Creek Blvd, Dallas, TX 75219

From the stunning white building with large columns, towering trees, and winding branches, this area is such an elegant place to have pictures taken. A few other interesting things about this place are the statues, a terrace, and a small pond that is surrounded by greenery.

18) The Canals at Las Colinas
215 Mandalay Canal, Irving, TX 75039

 

This area in Dallas is an outdoor one, that also brings an urban feel along with it. In an area like this, it is easy to change locations quickly, which will make your pictures diverse and full of different poses. It is next to a Riverwalk with Spanish and Italian influences, complete with greenery and stonework.

 

19) Turtle Creek Park

This “Oasis in Dallas” is yet another great place to take some pictures surrounded by nature. This park, classier than most, is right next to some beautiful Dallas buildings. The large pond in the middle has a fountain, along with greenery and trees surrounding this lovely area.

 

20) The Dallas Arboretum
8617 Garland Rd, Dallas, TX 75218

This area is a popular photo spot, so it has more rules than most. parking is $15 a car, and entrance fee is $15 per person. You must show up dressed in the clothes that you are going to wear to the shoot, as you are not allowed to change in the bathrooms. The Gardens are worth this small extra fee, considering how beautiful the whole place is. Full of greenery, trees, fields, and gardens, this elegant, natural outdoor area is a wonderful place to have pictures taken.

21) Adriatica Village in McKinney

This place is a ‘hidden gem” that consists of tons of space including retail and residential, and some areas even resemble a Croatian Village. The old feel that comes from stone buildings, red roofs, and columns are absolutely stunning and add SO much to any pictures that are taken there!

This is one place in the DFW are that makes it easy to get a soft, romantic look that a lot of people love in their pictures. The creek and creek bed, abundance of natural greenery, tress, and the open fields give far more than one option for settings when taking pictures. You should absolutely consider taking some sweet engagement pictures in this classic, natural location.

 

24) Historic Downtown McKinney

The buildings in this part of Texas are very old, some even date back to the 1800s. These old buildings add a lot of texture and character to the area. If you and your fiancé are looking for a town area that has less of a modern feel, you should consider taking some sweet, old fashioned pictures at the Downtown McKinney!

 

26) Pilot Knoll Park, Highland Village Texas

This park is on the simpler side of things, but still has many ideal places for some pictures. A large overhang with some benches and tables is located next the beautiful water and towering, green trees.
