A little bit of back story from the bride:  Cameron and I met on a blind date in Nola through a mutual friend in college. We hit it off right away and became inseparable after that. We moved to Dallas after graduating and started living together. On 1/19/18 Cameron got down on one knee and proposed to me on Sapphire Point Overlook in Colorado.

The flowers described by the bride: I wanted to keep my flowers very soft tones with a bunch of greenery. I showed them a bunch of pictures off of pinterest when I went for my appointment and they nailed it.

Q: What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?

A:I have a couple of favorite memories. Obviously marrying Cameron was one of them. Also, my MOH’s speech and when Cameron did the garter toss (I was not expecting him to be that fun with it).  I think my top one was when the whole wedding party went upstairs to the bridal suite before the ceremony. We were all just hanging out. It really calmed my nerves and it was great seeing all of our college friends reunite for us. I’m so glad I did a first look so that I could be with everyone before the ceremony and take part in those memories.

The bridesmaids dresses described by the bride: I wanted my bridesmaids to be able to pick a dress that looked good on their body type, so I found a designer (Morilee) that was affordable and had a bunch of different styles that I could get the same color in. I also made sure they all had that draped bodice and chiffon material to make them flow cohesively.

The wedding dress described by the bride:

My gown actually wasn’t what I was planning on wearing. The boutique suggested I go with a more fitted dress and I loved the look on my body type. I also loved the lace detailing on the back and the buttons running down. The dress ended up being perfect for the venue as well since the ceremony was outside. I didn’t want to have to drag around a huge train and didn’t know how hot it would be.

Advice from the bride: Don’t stress yourself out too much. People are there to see you get married and at the end of the day they don’t care about what design you had on your programs, or what party favors you had etc. Something will go wrong and you can’t control everything. Hire good vendors that you trust, and they will make sure everything is taken care of even when something goes wrong. If you can fit it into your budget I recommend hiring a partial planner/day of coordinator so you can enjoy the planning process.
