The love story told by the Bride: I was 14 when I first met Blake on our high school track team and back then I was crushing a lot. However, our love story didn’t start until after college for him and mostly through college for me.

continued: Our love story is so special to me because it truly grew out of seeking God. Blake was an atheist when we started hanging out and the majority of time we spent together in the beginning was strictly theological debate. All of it really forced me to evaluate my faith and why I did believe certain things, and by the grace of God Blake’s heart changed in the process. He came to see God for who He is and how much He loves Blake. We began dating shortly before he was baptized and we continue to pursue God together in our marriage.

The Bride’s Vision: Our wedding was a Bohemian inspired Sunday brunch wedding. Our colors were slate blue, navy, and burgundy. Everything was inspired off of my dress. It was a very non-traditional style with the Bohemian look to it and that is where the inspiration for the flowers came, as well as the invitations. It was the best thing I have ever worn.

Favorite photo and why? All of the photos are amazing! But my absolute favorite is attached to the email. I don’t know exactly why it is my favorite but it is. I think maybe because we aren’t focused in on the camera but rather at each other. Plus the wind caught my dress just right. It’s just the best picture.

Her Favorite Memory: My favorite memory from the day was the first dance. It was such a whimsical and fun moment that I will cherish forever. I will however say that picking one moment from the day is excruciating because everything was perfect.

Advice for future brides: Someone told me before my wedding to pick the 3 things that matter most to me and let those be the things I got perfect and let everything else fall into place. I can’t tell you how good that was! My 3 things were 1) the dress of course 2) the pictures…hence why Emily was the only option there and 3) the cake.
