Abi and Blake’s wedding day

Their wedding took place at Coles Garden in Oklahoma City. Abi and Blake are high school sweethearts and have been together for 9 years! They are literally the kindest humans and ultimate power couple, Abi is a nurse and Blake is a fireman. I loved her bright color palette paired with classy black dresses. Also fun fact, Blake proposed to Abi in PARIS, yes freaking Paris the romance capital of the world😍😍😍 so she incorporated the Eiffel Tower into her decor & cake!

Blake and I are high school sweethearts. We met at the church camp Falls creek when I was 15 and he was 16. His cousin and good friend set us up for an “icee date” which if you know falls creek, that’s the thing you do if you like someone! He was older so I thought he wouldn’t like me but we hit it off right away and three days later coming back from falls creek I looked at him and said “So am I your girlfriend or what?” The rest is history! 

My favorite memory from our wedding day had to be our first look! Blake doesn’t cry, ever. My bridesmaids had bets going of who thought he would and wouldn’t cry. I said he wouldn’t and I was wrong! I was so in love with my wedding dress and hoped he liked it too. His tears said it all! I loved the photos of his reaction and Blake walking around me, looking at my dress. It was such a sweet moment.

I love the photo at the end of the aisle where my dad has my arm and I’m clearly happy crying looking at Blake. I was so calm and excited all day, not a tear in site until I saw him at the end of the aisle. There was such joy that washed over me knowing I would finally be his wife and that the wait was worth it!

My advice to future brides would have to be, live in the moment! I stopped and looked at every detail of our reception area before people arrived. You work so hard on your vision it is amazing seeing it come to life! I think I went to each table and really looked at the flowers and the decor we had. I sat back and watched my bridesmaids getting ready and enjoyed my time with them. I even had five minutes of alone time before walking down to the aisle to look at my dress, my bouquet and get excited about marrying Blake!
